Interview process

Conversation is a two way street. We want to get to know you, and for you to get to know us.

Initial Screening

Initial conversation with a member of the talent team to learn more about the company, the hiring process & our culture.

Hiring Manager Interview

This is your opportunity to meet the hiring manager and gain a deeper understanding of the role itself and where it fits within departmental and organizational goals.

Technical Interview/Challenge*

This is meant to assess the technical and job-related skills - can be done live or in a take home challenge format.

Examples: a coding challenge for an Engineer or a MS Excel test for an Analyst or drafting a press release for a Public Relations Manager.

In some case, the candidate may be asked to provide a sample of work instead.

Stakeholder & Skip Level Manager Interview

Stakeholder Interview
You’ll meet with a member on a team that this role will collaborate frequently with.
Ex: Product Manager meeting with Engineering candidates. The goal here is to gain perspective from a colleague from outside of the direct team you're
applying to join!

Skip Level Manager
This is an opportunity for you to meet with the Executive leader of the division or department. This gives you an opportunity to learn about the long term vision for this team within Mistplay and the key goals and initiatives for this group.

(Only senior level roles will meet with both.)

Culture Add
Not quite the same as a culture "fit" interview. As we continue to grow at Mistplay, we are not looking for “square pegs" to fit our square hole. We're open to candidates from all walks of life as that provides us with a wealth and diverse set of backgrounds. We want champions who will impact our culture in a positive way.
